Description

Rolex gold-plated Oyster Perpetual Air-King with original metallic champagne dial and red/honey brown, crocodile leather strap. A very handsome and elegant vintage timepiece that can easily pass as either a dress or casual watch.

Case

Stainless steel , gold-plated case is in lovely, original condition with smooth stainless steel bezel and screw down 'Twinlock' winding crown. Rear cover also in excellent shape with what looks to be, the original factory finish and no damage to the toothed ring. Case reference: 5520. Serial: 5534***.

Case dimensions are 34.5mm in diameter (not including crown), 11.5mm thick and 41.5mm lug to lug.

Dial & Crystal

Original, metallic champagne dial is in really excellent condition with applied gold 'baton' hour markers and Rolex coronet at 12 o'clock. Dial is signed 'Rolex, Oyster Perpetual, Air-King, Precision' with '-T Swiss Made T-' at 6 o'clock, denoting this as a Tritium dial. Matching, also believed to be original, gold/gilt hands are in very good condition, aside from some obvious patina to the central seconds hand. (We would be happy to have this replaced, free of charge, should the new owner wish but have left it original and 'as is' for now).

Acrylic crystal, possibly the original, is excellent with only a couple of slight imperfections, nothing obvious or noticebale but also not 'brand new'.

Bracelet/Strap

We have fitted a very high quality HIRSCH 'GenuineCroco' strap to the watch, finished in a lovely reddy/honey brown with complementing original Rolex gold-plated buckle. This is one of HIRSCH's newer straps which feature an easy fitting/removal system - similar to that employed by Patek Philippe for many years.

Movement

Automatic model 5520 fitted with the solid 1520 calibre Rolex movement is also in very fine condition. This watch comes with our usual, full 12 months warranty for your complete peace of mind.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories

As with the majority of pre-owned Rolex 5-10 yrs or older, this particular watch does not come with its original boxes or warranty certificate. The watch is 100% genuine and rest assured, we give a lifetime guarantee on the authenticity of all the watches we sell.
