Year: 1945 Price: SOLD (14/10/20) Shipping (Within UK): FREE Shipping (Worldwide): £12 Description Very handsome gentleman's Jaeger LeCoultre in 18K yellow gold case with attractive 'teardrop lug' case design and old refinished silver 2tone dial. A superb watch and large size (for the period). Case Solid 18K yellow gold case is in excellent condition. Looks very elegant & sophisticated on the wrist. Can only have been very lightly polished throughout its life as edges to case sides, lugs and rear of case are still crisp and not rounded as we see with a lot of vintage pieces. Rear of case has serial number: 322215. (Images no.4 & no. 5 show hallmark indentations, not dents or dings). Case dimensions are 35mm in diameter (not including crown), 9.5mm thick and 48mm lug to lug. Dial & Crystal Very 'of the period' silver 2Tone dial in excellent condition with gold 'dagger' batons accented with printed numerals at 12, 3, 6 & 9 o'clock. Matching yellow gold 'Dauphine' hands which appear to be original. Dial is signed "Jaeger LeCoultre" with "Swiss" at 6 o'clock. (Please ignore the circular shadows on the dial in some images, merely the reflective dial/crystal picking up the camera lens). Plexiglas/acrylic crystal is like new and flawless with no chips or scratches of any kind. Bracelet/Strap We have fitted a new black Hirsch 'GenuineCroco' strap to the watch with complementing gold-filled buckle. We are also Hirsch stockists and can change the strap to any from their 'Classic' machine made range, or 'Precious Leathers' range of superb hand-made straps if you desire (subject to cost).
