Description

Gentleman's Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner (non-date) model ref: 14060. This is the pre-Chronometer certified version (two lines) but does have the newer 'Luminova' lumed dial denoted by 'Swiss' at 6 o'cock on the dial. The 14060 and 14060M are likely to become the next 5513 as far as collectability goes.

Case

Stainless steel case is in excellent condition with highly polished sides and satin finished top and bottom. A few light wear marks on the sides of the case but largely, it's mint. Original black bezel insert is in perfect condition with no marks or scratches. Screw down, Trip-Lock winding crown. Model reference 14060. Serial number: A564xxx.

Case dimensions are 40mm (not including crown - 44mm including), 13mm thick and 47.5mm lug to lug.

Dial & Crystal

Flawless black dial with applied hour markers and original Mercedes hands. Signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Submariner, 1000ft=300m" with "Swiss Made" at 6 o'clock. This model has a 'Luminova' dial which glows from being charged from exposure to light rather than the previous 'Tritium' dials which were lumed with a radioactive isotope that no longer glows in the dark. This model was only produced for a short time and has what is considered a 'transitional' dial as they started using Superluminova a year or so later.

Sapphire crystal is free from scratches and in mint/as new condition.

Bracelet/Strap

Stainless steel 'Oyster' FlipLock bracelet is also in excellent condition with no marks or scratches and has only very slight lateral play in links. Bracelet will currently fit between 7" - 8.5" wrist or can be increased/decreased further by adding/removing links.

Movement

Automatic model 14060, signed Rolex calibre 3000 movement in very fine condition. Has just been fully overhauled and is running perfectly. Full 12 months warranty for complete peace of mind.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories

As with the majority of pre-owned Rolex 5-10 yrs or older, this particular watch does not come with its original boxes or warranty certificate. The watch is 100% genuine and rest assured, we give a lifetime guarantee on the authenticity of all the watches we sell.
