Description

Excellent condition Rolex Submariner in stainless steel with original 'Tritium' dial. This model has now been discontinued and replaced with a slightly larger version. These watches are becoming quite collectable now and we've seen prices shoot up considerably over the last few months.

Case

Case is in mint condition and appears virtually 'unworn'. Brushed effect on the top and bottom with highly polished sides - this is the slightly older model with familiar visible 'pin-holes' in case sides. The original bezel insert has a couple of marks on but hardly noticeable when worn. Case ref: 16610. Serial number: W278xxx.

Case dimensions are 40mm (not including crown - 44mm including), 13mm thick and 47.5mm lug to lug.

Dial & Crystal

Dial is perfect and 'like new' with date window at 3 o' clock. Dial is signed 'Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date, Submariner, 1000ft = 300m, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified' with 'Swiss -T <25' at 6 o'clock marking this dial as a 'Tritium' dial which means the luminosity will eventually cease to be luminous but will develop a slightly yellow tinge which many find more attractive than the modern 'Luminova' dials. Hands and dial match perfectly.

The crystal is brand new with no chips, scratches or marks. This was replaced at recent service.

Bracelet/Strap

Bracelet is in very fine condition showing only very little stretch/play in links from new. The complete watch has clearly been very carefully looked after and worn very carefully. Bracelet length is approx. 8" or can be adjusted.

Movement

Model 16610, automatic Chronometer movement in excellent condition - keeping superb time. Watch has just been fully serviced by our Rolex accredited watchmaker. Complete with 12 months warranty.
