Description

Gentleman's Rolex 18K yellow gold and stainless steel DateJust Turn-o-Graph with original silver dial & dark brown alligator strap. This particular watch has the newer 3035 calibre QuickSet date movement fitted. New modern replacement RRP: £7,400.

Case

Stainless steel case is in superb condition with almost flawless Turn-o-Graph rotating yellow gold bezel. Very unusual to find these collectable vintage Rolex in such crisp, original condition. Complete with original 'Twinlock' winding crown, also in yellow gold. Rear cover is perfect, showing no signs of incorrect entry. No dents, dings, engraving marks or scratches of any kind. A really nice, not heavily-polished example of this classic, very sought after model. Model number: 16253, serial number: 8696xxx.

Case dimensions are 36mm in diameter (not including crown), 12mm thick and 44mm lug to lug.

Dial & Crystal

Original silver dial with applied gold 'baton' hour markers, matching yellow gold hands and Rolex coronet at 12 o'clock. Dial is signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" with 'Swiss Made" at 6 o'clock. Date aperture at 3 o'clock. Dial has a couple of small marks near the 1 o'clock baton. We did contemplate having the dial refinished but thought it better left original as the marks are hardly noticeable under normal viewing.

Acrylic/Plexiglas crystal is perfect with no scratches, marks or chips of any kind. Could easily be the original crystal.

Bracelet/Strap

We have fitted a high quality genuine crocodile strap to the watch finished in dark brown and complemented with a gold-filled buckle.

Movement

Automatic model 16253, calibre 3035 signed Rolex movement in very fine condition. Running perfectly and keeping superb time. Full 12 months warranty.
