Description

Gentleman's 18ct gold Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox in lovely, original condition with mechanical alarm in perfect working order - sounding loud and crisp. This is the much rarer large or jumbo sized version of the Memovox and is an automatic (bumper).

Case

Large-size, very heavy 18ct fully hallmarked gold case is in beautiful condition. Very rare to find these in full gold rather than gold-filled or gold-capped.

The rear cover has engraving: 'IPC 1957' which was to commemorate the formation of a trade asscoiation for Printed Circuit Board manufactures originally called The Institute for Printed Circuits based in Bannockburn, Illinois. We imagine this watch was given to somone such as the Chairman, CEO or a Vice President of said organisation.

It has a lovely vintage gold lustre to it making it far more attractive than modern yellow gold cased watches. Looks very elegant & classy on the wrist.

Case dimensions are 37mm in diameter (not including crown), 12.5mm thick and 44mm lug to lug.

Dial & Crystal

Gorgeous, antique silver refinished dial with applied gold baton hour markers. Dial also has an inner minute track and the familiar uni-rotating inner alarm dial. Dial is signed 'Jaeger LeCoultre, Automatic' with 'T Swiss Made T' at 6 o'clock.

Plexiglas/acrylic crystal is like new and flawless with no chips or scratches of any kind.

Bracelet/Strap

We have fitted a honey-brown calf leather strap to the watch with complementing gold-filled buckle.

We are also Hirsch stockists and can change the strap to any from their 'Classic' machine made range, or 'artisanal' range of superb hand-made straps if you desire (subject to cost). Please contact us for further details..

Movement

Completely original 'bumper' automatic movement in perfect working order, both as a timpiece and as an alarm watch. It has just been fully overhauled and keeps excellent time. Alarm striking is lound & crisp. Full 12 months warranty.
