Description

Gentleman's Rolex Oyster Perpetual Zephyr in 18K & stainless steel with lovely (refinished) white dial featuring applied batons. An original, correct case reference Zephyr with correct bezel but with a more traditional dial.

Case

Stainless steel case is in excellent condition with highly polished sides and satin finished top and bottom. Original 18K 'Zephyr' bezel also in excellent condition with no marks, dents or scratches - a really fine, crisp example. 'Twinlock' screw-down Oyster crown. Model reference 1008 between the lugs at 12 o'clock with serial number: 773xxx between the lugs at 6 o'clock. Case reference number also repeated on inside of back showing that this is the original back and not a replacement.

Case dimensions are 34mm (not including crown - 36mm including), 11.5mm thick and 40mm lug to lug.

Dial & Crystal

Flawless recently refinished white dial with applied baton hour markers along with Rolex coronet at 12 o'clock. Original 'stick' hands with matching centre seconds hand. Dial is signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" with "T Swiss Made T" at 6 o'clock.

Acrylic crystal is free from scratches and in mint/as new condition.

Bracelet/Strap

We have fitted a brand new Hirsch 'Regent' strap finished in matte dark brown to the watch. This is an expensive (RRP: £75) very high quality genuine alligator strap from renowned Austrian atelier and has been fitted with a stainless steel buckle.

Movement

Automatic model 1008, fully signed Rolex movement in very fine condition - easily one of the cleanest and best condition 1950's movements we've ever seen. Has just been fully overhauled and is running perfectly. Full 12 months warranty for complete peace of mind.
