Description

Gentlemans Rolex 18K/SS DateJust with beautiful black dial and matching black Hirsch 'Regent' alligator strap. Nice mid 60's DateJust in excellent condition with original 'alpha' hands.

Case

Stainless steel case is in very fine condition with little signs of refinishing and has certainly never been over-polished in any way. 18ct yellow gold 'fluted' bezel is also in mint condition with none of the all-too-common chips or dents we often see. Matching original yellow gold winding crown. Serial number: 1237xxx. Model ref: 1601. Rear of case bears some light wear marks but no dents, dings or damage to the fine toothed edge. We decided not to repolish the case as it was so close to perfect already.

Case dimensions are 36mm in diameter (not including crown), 11.5mm thick and 44mm lug to lug

Dial & Crystal

Recently refinished gloss black dial with applied yellow gold 'baton' hour markers and raised Rolex coronet at 12 o'clock Original 'alpha' hands have been retained and although showing slight signs of aging, these are still in fine fettle. Dial is signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" with "T Swiss T" at 6 o'clock.

Acrylic/Plexiglas crystal is as new and again, flawless.

Bracelet/Strap

We have fitted a brand new black Hirsch 'Regent' strap to the watch with complementing stainless steel buckle. We have an identical gold filled buckle which we could fit to the strap if you preferred.

We are also Hirsch stockists and can change the strap to any from their 'Classic' machine made range or 'Artisanal' range of superb hand-made straps if you desire (subject to cost). Please contact us for further details.

Movement

Automatic, Chronometer certified, signed Rolex movement in very fine condition. Has just been fully overhauled, running perfectly and keeping superb time. Full 12 months warranty.
