Description

Gentleman's Rolex Oyster Perpetual semi-bubbleback with stunning white dial featuring sunken 'dagger' batons and numbers. These 1950's era Oyster Perpetuals are getting very hard to find. Timeless elegance for your wrist.

Case

Stainless steel case is in excellent condition with highly polished sides and satin finished top and bottom. Original 18ct 'Index' bezel in outstanding condition with hardly any definition loss - a fine example. Matching 'twinlock' screw-down Oyster crown. Model reference 6285. Serial number: 132xxx.

Case dimensions are 34mm (not including crown - 36mm including), 11.5mm thick and 40mm lug to lug.

Dial & Crystal

Flawless recently refinished white dial with sunken 'dagger' type hour markers and 3, 6, 9 numbers along with Rolex coronet at 12 o'clock. Watch has retained its original yellow gold hands with contrasting blued steel centre seconds hand. Dial is signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Officially Certified Chronometer" with "Swiss" at 6 o'clock. Very attractive and rare dial.

Acrylic crystal is free from scratches and in mint/as new condition.

Bracelet/Strap

We have fitted a brand new Hirsch 'London' strap finished in matte black to the watch. This is an expensive (RRP: £179) very high quality genuine alligator, hand-made strap from renowned Austrian atelier. The strap is currently fitted with a stainless steel buckle but this can be changed for a gold-filled one if the new owner desires.

Movement

Automatic model 6285, fully signed Rolex movement in very fine condition. Has just been fully overhauled and is running perfectly. Full 12 months warranty for complete peace of mind.
