#51953 - Rolex Oyster Cushion in Stainless Steel With Beautiful Silver 2Tone Dial & Black Calf Leather Strap Year: 1941 Price: SOLD (24/1/15) Shipping (Within UK): FREE Shipping (Worldwide): £12 Description Stainless steel Rolex rectangular Oyster 'Cushion' in very fine condition with lovely silver 2tone dial and fitted with a new black calf leather ZRC strap with complementing steel buckle. Very, very rare in stainless steel and not to be confused with the more common, chrome over nickle (often referred to as 'steel'). A stunning piece and sound investment opportunity. This is only the second steel cushion Oyster we've ever had in stock! Case Solid stainless steel case is in very fine condition. Both front smooth bezel and rear cover are in flawles condition with no damage to surface or toothed edges. They both screw down correctly and tightly. Original 'Oyster Patent' screw-down winding crown is also excellent with good threads on both case and crown itself. Case dimensions are 32mm in diameter (not including crown, 35.5mm including), 10mm thick and 37mm lug to lug. Dial & Crystal Really lovely looking silver 2tone dial has been restored sypathetically, leaving the original enameled Arabic numbers in place. Dial has an outer minute track and retains its original blued steel hands. This is a sub-seconds model which was the more traditional and marks the watch as slightly older than the more modern, centre seconds verisons. Dial is signed 'Rolex Oyster' with 'Swiss Made' at 6 o'clock. The crystal is a standard Plexiglas/acrylic type and is completely free from scratches or chips. It is like new (there is a small mark at 6 o'clock on the crystal which has been polished away since these images were taken). Bracelet/Strap Brand new ZRC calf leather strap finished in black with complementing stainless steel buckle. We can supply replacement straps in the future as and when required. Movement High quality 17 jewel, manual winding movement is in very fine condition and keeping excellent time.
