Description

Gentleman's International Watch Company wrist watch (now known simply as IWC) in solid 18ct yellow gold with very special, rare dial and dark brown calf leather strap. Stunning condition with attractive lug design. This is a early centre seconds, manual-winding calibre 60 and not to be confused with the more common, calibre 89 which came after (approx 1948 onwards).

Case

Solid 18ct (IWC signed) gold case is in beautiful, flawless condition with no marks, dents, dings scratches or imperfections. Very attractive large-sized case. Fully hallmarked inside (Swiss) for 18ct.

Dimensions are 36mm in diameter (not including crown), 11mm thick and 44mm lug to lug.

Dial & Crystal

Very rare and beautiful antique silver dial is in excellent condition with applied gold Roman Numerals at 3, 6, 9 & 12 o'clock with small square 'pyramid' markers making up the rest. Matching original gold 'stick' hands and dotted minute markers around the outside edge complete the dial furniture. Dial is signed 'International Watch Company, Schaffhausen', 'Automatic' with 'Swiss' at 6 o'clock.

Crystal is standard acrylic/Plexiglas type and is 'as new'.

Bracelet/Strap

Brand new high quality, ZRC calf leather strap with complementing gold-filled buckle.

We are Hirsch stockists and can change the strap to any from their 'Classic' machine made range, or 'artisanal' range of superb hand-made straps if you desire (subject to cost). Please contact us for further details.

Movement

Calibre 60, shock-resisting movement is in excellent, original condition. The watch is keeping excellent time and has recently been fully overhauled by our watchmaker just to make sure it is running perfectly. Comes with full 12 months warranty.
