#51813 - Rolex Oyster Perpetual In Stainless Steel With Rare Case Design & White Textured Dial Year: 1956 Price: SOLD Shipping (Within UK): FREE Shipping (Worldwide): £12 Description Gentleman's stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual in stainless steel with lovely white textured dial. Very rare case design; flat-sided, sometimes referred to as 'Eiffel Tower'. Case Stainless steel case is in excellent condition with original Twinlock winding crown. Smooth bezel is also excellent with no dents, scratches or dings. Screw back is also in very good condition and doesn't have any of the all-too-common engravings. Case ref: 6518. Serial no: 172xxx. Case dimensions are 34mm in diameter (not including crown), 12.5mm thick and 42mm lug to lug. Dial & Crystal Very pretty white, textured 3, 6, 9 dial is in excellent condition having just been refinished during recent overhaul. Original 'alpha' hands have been retained and are again, in sxcellent condition. Dial is signed 'Rolex Oyster Perpetual', 'Officially Certified Chronometer' with 'Swiss' at 6 o'clock. There is a date aperture at 3 o'clock. This watch was made before Rolex started calling this model 'Oyster Perpetual Date'. Plexiglas/acrylic crystal is like brand new and unmarked with no chips or scratches of any kind. Bracelet/Strap We have fitted a brand new calf leather strap to the watch, finished in black with complementing steel buckle. We are also Hirsch stockists and can change the strap to any from their 'Classic' machine made range, or 'artisanal' range of superb hand-made straps if you desire (subject to cost).
