Description

Very rare Rolex Oyster Imperial (not Viceroy). We've only seen a couple of these over the past 10 years and this is certainly the smartest one we've come across - lovely, original white dial and complete with the original Rolex strap & buckle. This is a supremely special watch in every way.

Case

9ct yellow gold 3-piece case is in very fine condition with original 'Oyster Patent', screw-down winding crown. Rear of case is perfect with no damage to fine toothed edge and serial & model reference numbers still clearly visible along with Rolex Coronet. Glasgow import hallmarks inside rear cover date teh watch accurately to 1938. This watch has been treasured throughout its life. Serial number: 42880. Case reference number: 3116.

Case dimensions are 33mm in diameter (including crown), 10mm thick and 38.5mm lug to lug.

Dial & Crystal

Beautiful, original white dial has printed/painted Arabic numbers with outer minute track and sub-seconds dial at 6. Dial is signed 'Rolex Oyster Imperial Chronometre' with 'Swiss Made' at 6 o'clock.

Acrylic crystal is brand new and flawless with no chips or scratches of any kind.

Bracelet/Strap

Original dark brown Rolex strap with contrasting white stitching. Strap also has original 9ct yellow gold pin-buckle. The strap is serviceable but we shall supply (and fit if required) a brand new high quality Hirsch strap with your choice of colour/finish.

Movement

Manual winding, calibre 700 chronometer certified Rolex movement in very fine condition - keeping excellent time and running beautifully. Full 12 months warranty for complete piece of mind.
