#51683 - Rolex Oyster Perpetual 'Hooded' Bubbleback In 18ct/SS With Silver Dial & Dark Brown Crocodile Strap Year: 1938 Price: SOLD Shipping (Within UK): FREE Shipping (Worldwide): £12 Description Gentleman's Rolex 18ct/SS Oyster Perpetual 'Hooded' Bubbleback in excellent, original condition with sympathetically re-finished dial and Hirsch 'Crococalf' dark brown leather strap. Case Stainless steel case with 18ct 'hoods' and smooth bezel is in wonderful, original condition (no repair work) - a very fine example. Rear cover is original to the watch and bears the correct reference number of 3065. The rear cover screws and unscrews perfectly. The toothed edge on the case back is excellent (as can be seen from images). Original yellow gold 'Rolex Oyster' winding crown. Serial number: 57xxx. Case dimensions are 32mm in diameter (not including crown - 34mm including), 13.5mm thick and 38.5mm lug to lug. Dial & Crystal Original dial has been re-finished at some point in the past and suits the age of the watch perfectly. There is some slight patina on the dial but certainly nothing unsightly. It has a mixture of numbered and baton hour markers with Rolex coronet underneath the 12 o'clock marker. Dial is signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Chronometer. Original blued steel 'stick' hands are in excellent condition - the contrasting gilt centre seconds hand is also corret and original to the watch. Plexiglas/acrylic crystal is brand new and free from scratches or marks. Bracelet/Strap We have fitted a new Hirsch 'Crococalf' leather strap finished in dark brown. There is a genuine Rolex stainless steel buckle fitted to the strap which complements the watch perfectly. Movement Automatic model 3065, signed Rolex movement in very fine condition.
