#10516 - Solid Silver High Grade Quarter Repeating Chronograph Pocket Watch - Original Dial & Hands Year: c1920 Price: SOLD Shipping (Within UK): £7.50 Shipping (Worldwide): £15 Description High grade (unsigned) swiss made, quarter repeating pocket watch in very fine condition with original porcelain enamel dial and blued steel hands. Case Solid silver case in very good condition with snap on bezels front and rear. This case is a 'sidewinder' design with winding crown and stem and 3 o'clock as opposed to the more common 12 o'clock orientation. Rear 'exhibition' cover shows full detail of movement and chronograph and repeating mechanism can be seen operating. Case dimensions are 50mm in diameter, 70mm including bow & stem and 20mm thick. Dial & Crystal Porcelain enamel sub-seconds dial is in nr. mint condition and has black Roman Numerals with seconds markers around the outside edge (for chronograph). Original 'Louis XIV' style gilt hands are in mint condition. Dial is unsigned. Original glass crystals are in excellent condition with only one or two light marks on each (hardly noticeable unless under close scrutiny). Movement High quality, jewel lever movement is also unsigned but most likely LePhare manufactured. The movement has recently been serviced and is in very good working order with the repeating mechanism functioning correctly and showing no letheragy or 'slow-down' even when operated at 12:45.
