Description

Gentlemans Rolex stainless steel Oyster with really lovely white dial. This is an early (non-date) version and not the usual/later 6694 'OysterDate'. The case is very slim and makes for a very elegant vintage timepiece.

Case

Stainless steel case in very fine condition with polished smooth bezel and screw down 'Twinlock' winding crown. Rear cover is perfect, showing no signs of incorrect entry. No dents, dings or scratches of any kind. A really nice, not overly-polished example. Model number: 6480, serial number: 299xxx.

Case dimensions are 34mm in diameter (not including crown), 10mm thick and 42mm lug to lug.

Dial & Crystal

Beautifully refinished white dial with applied 'dagger' type hour markers with Rolex Coronet at 12 o'clock. Matching original gold 'alpha' (sometimes referred to as 'dauphine' hands with contrasting blued steel centre seconds hand. Dial is signed "Rolex Oyster" with "Swiss Made" at 6 o'clock.

Acrylic/Plexiglas crystal is perfect with no scratches, marks or chips of any kind. Could easily be the original crystal.

Bracelet/Strap

We have fitted a high quality, supple calf leather strap finished in red/brown to the watch which has a crocodile effect pattern with complementing stainless steel buckle.

Movement

Manual winding model 6480, signed Rolex movement in very fine condition. Has just been fully overhauled, running perfectly and keeping superb time. Full 12 months warranty. Very well regarded movement calibre.
